If the schedule is full or there isn't a time that works for you, please contact Mrs. Witter at [email protected] with your availability.
A few minutes before your scheduled audition time, sign into Zoom and join Mrs. Witter's meeting. She will let you into the meeting from the waiting room when the person before you is done. Don't be surprised if you are let into the meeting a couple minutes early or late!
A zoom link will be sent to your email or you can join from here: ZOOM AUDITION ROOM
After some basic questions, you will be asked to do three things in your audition:
1. Sing a solo of your choice. A solo and ensemble song, a song you learned in choir, musical or show choir works great. You
can sing the national anthem or even twinkle, twinkle little star if you're having difficulty selecting a piece. You want to pick
something that shows off your strengths. You can sing a cappella or with a back ground track. If you are using a background
track, please have it ready to go when you audition so we do not waste time.
**Sing with good tone, breath support, diction, intonation (sing in tune)
2. Range testing. You will be asked to play this youtube video and sing along when asked. Please practice this so that you feel
confident going into your audition. You want to show off good tone in both your chest voice and head voice.
3. Pitch recall. You will receive a link to a recording during your audition. The recording will be a series of 3, 4 or 5 notes played on
the piano. You will be asked to sing them back on a "du" syllable. This is meant to test your ear. Can you sing back the pattern
that you hear?
